Girl Scout Cookie Trivia

* The annual cookie sale is part of the Girl Scouts Entrepreneur and Financial Literacy Program.
* Girls learn business skills including budgeting, financial responsibility, banking practices, creating a business plan, tracking sales progress, marketing, and partnering with other girls and adults to plan for using their proceeds to enhance their opportunities and experiences through Girl Scouting.
* Girls learn life skills including project planning and implementation, goal-setting, teamwork, public speaking, self-confidence, community awareness, and partnering with business and organizations to serve others.
* Today's Girl Scouts know what they want. They take action to meet challenges, connect with others and achieve goals. The cookie program embraces that "can-do" attitude as girls set goals, make decisions, learn about themselves and exceed even their own expectations.
* Girl Scouts are "smart cookies." The cookie program activities provide opportunities for girls to be active and help girls make choices to adopt a physically active lifestyle. Healthy weight and nutrition decisions as well as personal safety in the community and online are all parts of the cookie program.

The $3.50 received from the sale of a package of cookies is divided like this:

All Revenue generated by the Cookie Sale Program goes directly to troops or is designated for program opportunities that directly support girls and/or adult volunteers in our 22-county area.
